Boomsday™ is an event that is held every Labor Day Weekend in downtown Knoxville on the waterfront at Neyland Drive from 1 pm until 10pm. This the largest event in the state of Tennessee that I have attended and the largest fireworks show in the southeast United States. People from all of the world have visited Knoxville to attend this event, and I have been told that National Geographic has filmed it for a special on their show. This event has been known to have over 300,000 people to attend this event AND  Boomsday is FREE to the public. You will experience live entertainment from 5 pm until 9 pm. At 9:30 pm tons of fireworks, choreographed to a soundtrack, blast off from the Henley Street Bridge over the Tennessee River for a spectacular show.  So mark your calendar to attend this Sunday, September 5th starting at 1pm!  If you have never experienced this event-you must attend.   It is truly an amazing event-one that you won’t soon forget!  The activities begin at 1 pm at Volunteer Landing with food from 30 vendors, games and rides, exhibits, loads of  children’s activities and a community stage for young athletes and performers.

I hope you plan to attend, you won’t be sorry.
